Kristina Shackelford Obituary, DECATUR, Ind. — Kristina Shackelford, 44, has died following a sudden medical emergency early Sunday morning, according to an update shared by her family.
The family said autopsy results determined that Shackelford had developed a blood clot in her kidney that ruptured. She subsequently suffered a massive heart attack and passed away early Sunday morning.
Shackelford was 44 years old at the time of her death. Her family described her as “the best of the best” and said that while her passing has left them grieving, her memory will live on forever.
A public showing for Shackelford will be held Friday at Flanner and Buchanan Decatur from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family has announced that the ceremony on Saturday will be private and limited to family members and her closest friends.
The family also expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time. They said they are “VERY thankful” for the tremendous amount of love that has been given to the family following Shackelford’s passing.
