Walter William Singletary Obituary, SIX MILE, S.C. — Walter William Singletary, 48, of Six Mile, South Carolina, and formerly of Eastman, Georgia, passed away on September 30, 2026, at his residence.

Walter was born on February 20, 1978, in McRae, Georgia, and was of the Christian faith. He attended Dodge County High School and later earned his Aircraft Structural Technology Degree from Heart of Georgia Technical College.

Following the completion of his education, Walter worked for several years as a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base. Throughout his life, he was known as a devoted family man who valued the time he spent with those closest to him.

Walter enjoyed gardening, growing vegetables and flowers, raising chickens, and caring for his yard. He also enjoyed fishing, grilling, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Singletary and Cathy Hansen; infant brother, William Edward Singletary; and sister, Tammy Singletary.

Walter is survived by his wife of 14 years, Julie Ann Oneal Singletary of Six Mile, South Carolina; son Bud Singletary and wife Brianna of Savannah, Georgia; daughters Marisa Jones and husband Jacob of Chester, Georgia, and Maria Singletary and Dylan Yawn of Savannah, Georgia; several stepchildren; grandchildren Myles Jones, Kaisen Jones, and Dalton Cole Yawn; brother Daniel “Danny” Singletary of Eastman; sister Lisa Craig of Charleston, South Carolina; nieces, nephews, aunt Ann S. Rawls and husband Buddy of Macon, Georgia; and several cousins.

Funeral services for Walter William Singletary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jimmy Cole Yawn officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before the service.

Walter’s life will be remembered through the love he shared with his family, the memories created with friends, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. His family and loved ones continue to honor his memory during this difficult time and appreciate the thoughts and condolences offered in his remembrance.
