Miguel Finch Obituary, HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Miguel Finch, 42, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, has died after being shot in the chest during an early Wednesday morning shooting on Koffman Drive. The incident occurred on August 26, 2026, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded at approximately 3 a.m. to the 100 block of Koffman Drive after receiving reports of a shooting. When police arrived, they found Finch suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Emergency medical personnel transported Finch to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he was receiving CPR during transport. Despite lifesaving efforts, Hopkinsville officials said Finch was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Following the shooting, Hopkinsville police announced that an arrest warrant had been issued for 19-year-old Jabbarreion Murphy in connection with the incident. Authorities described Murphy as armed and dangerous and advised members of the public not to approach him.
