Norman Sultan Obituary, SOUTH SHIELDS — Norman Sultan has passed away peacefully in his sleep following a long-term illness, leaving family, friends and loved ones mourning the loss of a deeply cherished man.
Norman was remembered as a much-loved son to Ruth Roberta and a brother to Soraya and his late brother Brian. He was also an uncle to Dario, Christopher, Brian, Kareem, Cassim, Hazina and the late Nicola. His family also remembered his former partner of 16 years, Joanne, and her daughter Demi, as well as the many friends whose lives he touched.
Those who knew Norman described him as a truly kind, caring and generous person with a wonderful personality. His warmth made him well-loved by those who had the pleasure of knowing him, while his generosity with his time and support meant a great deal to the people around him.
His passing has left his loved ones with a lifetime of memories, stories and special moments that they say they will cherish forever. Although his absence will be deeply felt, his family said the love they have for Norman will remain and that he will continue to hold a special place in their hearts.
The family also finds comfort in the belief that Norman is now reunited with his beloved brother, Brian. His memory will continue to be carried by those who knew and loved him.
Norman’s funeral service will take place at South Shields Crematorium on Thursday, September 10, at 12:30 p.m. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend the service to say their final farewell to Norman and celebrate the life he lived.
The family has requested family flowers only. Those wishing to honour Norman’s memory may instead make donations to the ICU at South Tyneside District Hospital, in recognition of the care and support he received.
Norman will be remembered for his kindness, caring nature, generosity and the warmth he brought to the lives of others. His loved ones have expressed that he will be missed more than words can say, but will always be loved, remembered and held forever in their hearts.
