Nicole Karastury Elliott Obituary, WAVERLY HALL, Ga. — Nicole Karastury Elliott, 35, was found deceased in the front yard of a residence in Waverly Hall, Georgia, on Monday, August 17, 2026, following a fatal shooting that authorities are investigating.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Harris County 911 received a report of an unresponsive woman at approximately 12:37 p.m. at a residence located at 9306 Georgia Highway 208. Responding deputies arrived at the scene and found Elliott deceased in the yard.
Investigators said Elliott appeared to have suffered a single gunshot wound. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division launched a follow-up investigation, while the Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted with crime-scene processing.
Authorities said the investigation determined that Elliott had reportedly been involved in a domestic dispute earlier that morning. The altercation occurred at approximately 10:04 a.m. and involved 36-year-old Andrew Roy Harris of Phenix City, Alabama.
According to investigators, Elliott was fatally shot during the altercation. Harris reportedly fled the scene following the shooting and is now wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault.
Authorities said Harris was last seen on foot in Phenix City after reportedly fleeing the America’s Best Value Inn near the U.S. Highway 280 bypass. Investigators continue working to locate him and determine the full circumstances surrounding Elliott’s death.
