Simeon Onnette Obituary, U.S. 82, Ala. — Simeon Onnette, 46, of Lauderhill, Florida, died following a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 82 in Alabama early Saturday morning.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred at approximately 4:23 a.m. Simeon was traveling as a passenger in a Toyota Sienna van driven by 35-year-old Josue Joseph of Union Springs.
For reasons that remain under investigation, the Toyota Sienna left the roadway, struck a ditch and then collided with a tree before overturning. Simeon suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision also left another passenger injured. ALEA identified the passenger as 44-year-old Jean-Charles Fausnert of Leominster, Massachusetts. Fausnert was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for medical treatment. No further information about his condition was provided.
