According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 2 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 86 and State Highway 214. The crash involved Holst’s 2020 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer, a 2019 Mack truck tractor towing a semi-trailer, and a 2015 Ford Expedition.
Preliminary information from authorities indicates that Holst was traveling northbound on State Highway 214 in the Freightliner when the collision occurred. The Mack truck was traveling southbound on the same highway, while the Ford Expedition was traveling eastbound on State Highway 86.
The Ford Expedition was operated by Shayanne Marie Clover, 30, of Garden City, Kansas. Authorities reported that two additional people were injured in the crash and received medical treatment. Further details about the extent of their injuries were not provided.
