Kaiden James McCrary Obituary, UNITED STATES — Kaiden James McCrary, lovingly known as “K,” was born on May 18, 2012, and passed away on September 22, 2026. He was remembered as a kind, polite, and well-mannered young man whose gentle spirit and quiet individuality touched the lives of those who knew and loved him.
K had a wide range of interests that reflected his creativity, curiosity, and personality. He enjoyed drawing animated characters, reading epic fantasy novels, gaming with friends, playing the bass drum, and lifting weights at school.
He also found joy in simple moments with family and friends. K loved playing Yahtzee and Sorry!, and he especially enjoyed swimming at both of his grandparents’ homes. In time, he developed a growing appreciation for alternative and rock music.
One memorable moment captured K’s straightforward and individual nature. When asked where he had heard alternative music, he simply replied, “On my friend’s CD player.” The small response became a memorable part of the person he was and reflected his quiet, distinctive personality.
K will be deeply missed by his mother, Brittany Cooley, and her husband, Garrett Cooley; his father, Clinton McCrary, and his wife, Lindsey McCrary; his siblings, AnnaClaire Sharp, Creek Cooley, Camryn McCrary, and Carter McCrary; and his grandparents, Stephen and Barbra McCrary and John and Melissa Patterson.
He is also remembered by his uncle, Brandt Patterson, and his wife, Sydney, as well as extended family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. K was preceded in death by his uncle, Hunter McCrary; grandmother, Pamela Moses; and grandfather, Brandon Smith.
Though K’s life was far too short, the memories he created will remain with those who loved him. His kindness, gentle spirit, interests, and individuality will continue to be remembered by his family, friends, and community.
