Chelsea Patterson Obituary, LEFLORE COUNTY, Okla. — Chelsea Patterson, 37, of Honobia, Oklahoma, has died following a serious motor vehicle crash on U.S. 259 in LeFlore County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m. Patterson was traveling southbound on U.S. 259 when she attempted to pass another vehicle. At the same time, another vehicle was turning onto Zafra Road, resulting in a collision.
The impact caused Patterson’s vehicle to overturn. Patterson and one of her passengers were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Patterson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional passengers who were traveling with Patterson were transported to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was not injured, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Authorities also reported that not all of the occupants in Patterson’s vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain part of the authorities’ documentation and investigation.
