Keon Danion Kemp Obituary, EMPORIA, Va. — Keon Danion Kemp, 42, of Emporia, Virginia, died after being struck by a vehicle in a pedestrian crash during the early morning hours of September 5, 2026.
The Emporia Police Department responded at approximately 3:33 a.m. to the intersection of South Main Street and Battery Avenue following a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad and Greensville Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene and provided emergency assistance.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, Kemp was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities confirmed that his next of kin has been notified.
