Barbara Dean Walls Obituary, EASLEY, S.C. — Barbara Dean Walls, 64, of Easley, South Carolina, was killed Friday, September 4, 2026, in a head-on collision on Farrs Bridge Road, according to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office.
Pickens County Coroner Andrew Wilson responded to the crash near 4586 Farrs Bridge Road in Easley as investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. Walls was identified as the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
According to the investigation conducted by the Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Walls’ vehicle crossed the center line of Farrs Bridge Road and collided head-on with another vehicle. Authorities have not released additional details explaining why the vehicle crossed the center line.
Two people traveling in the other vehicle were injured in the collision. Pickens County EMS treated the injured individuals at the scene before transporting them to Prisma Health for additional medical care. Their conditions were not immediately available.
The Coroner’s Office determined that Walls died from multiple blunt-force injuries sustained in the collision. Investigators officially ruled her manner of death an accident.
The fatal crash remains under investigation by the Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the collision and the factors that may have contributed to the crash.
