Amalie Zacherl Obituary, SKAGIT VALLEY, Wash. — Amalie Zacherl, a beloved member of the Skagit Valley Food Co-op team, has died, leaving coworkers, friends, family, and members of the Skagit Valley community mourning her sudden passing.

Amalie’s connection to the Skagit Valley Food Co-op began during her childhood, where she grew up as a “Co-op kid.” Her mother, Lisa, spent decades working at the Co-op in departments including Mercantile, Cashiering, and Wellness, allowing Amalie and her siblings to grow up surrounded by the community that would later become part of her own life.

Amalie eventually joined the Skagit Valley Food Co-op team and worked in the Point-of-Sale Department, where she supported daily operations and became a familiar presence among coworkers and members of the organization.

According to Wellness Manager Nancylee, Amalie was known for her humor, dedication, and strong attention to detail. She brought creativity and personality to her workplace relationships and was remembered for her ability to help others and connect with those around her.

Outside of her work at the Co-op, Amalie had interests in art, fashion, and culinary pursuits. She was also deeply devoted to her parents and five siblings, who shared an important part of her life and legacy.

Amalie’s passing has been deeply felt throughout the Skagit Valley Food Co-op community because of her family’s longstanding connection to the organization.
