Billy Brown Obituary: Temple, Texas – Beloved Temple Man Remembered for His Faith, Friendship and Caring Spirit

Billy Paul Brown Obituary, TEMPLE, Texas — Billy Paul Brown, 75, of Temple, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2026. Born on July 3, 1951, Billy leaves behind a family he dearly loved and a life remembered for his Christian faith, friendship, humor, and willingness to care for others.

Billy graduated from Temple High School in 1969 before beginning a working life that included employment with Central Freight and Tractor Supply Company. His work was an important part of his life, but he also made time for the activities and interests that brought him joy.

When he was not working, often during the night, Billy could frequently be found on a local golf course. He enjoyed spending time playing golf before settling in for a big plate of barbecue or a Texas-sized burger. He also enjoyed relaxing at home and watching episodes of Star Trek, particularly Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Billy’s Christian faith was central to his life. He loved Jesus, enjoyed having fun, and cared deeply about the people around him. His concern for family, friends, and even strangers was reflected in the many ways he was willing to help others.

He was remembered as someone who never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a hand. Whether sharing a joke, helping someone set up their electronics, offering a ride, or assisting a stranger with a car repair, Billy found ways to be there for those who needed him.

Billy is survived by his wife, Carole; his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Chris Pieper of Waco, Texas; his granddaughter, Audrey; and his son, Jason. His family holds a cherished place in the story of his life and will carry his memory forward.

His absence will be felt in the everyday moments that brought him joy, from hearing Pink Floyd on the radio and watching the Longhorns score a touchdown to sitting down for a movie, especially Ben-Hur, and gathering with family. Those who loved Billy will remember his caring nature, mischievous sense of fun, Christian faith, and the love he gave throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life for Billy Paul Brown is pending. His family, friends, and loved ones will continue to remember a man whose kindness, humor, faith, and willingness to help others left a meaningful impression on those around him.
