Caleb Allan McCollum Obituary, LOCATION NOT PROVIDED — Caleb Allan McCollum passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on January 21, 2003, Caleb will be remembered for his love of computers, technology, video games, animals, and, above all, his family.
Caleb had a particular love for animals, especially cats. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to joke around with the people closest to him. He also enjoyed a good debate and was never afraid to stand by his opinions, bringing his own personality and determination to the conversations he shared with others.
He was especially proud of his work and of earning his security clearance, an accomplishment that meant a great deal to him. His interests in computers, technology, and video games were an important part of who he was, while his determination and pride in his accomplishments reflected qualities his family will continue to remember.
More than anything, Caleb loved his family. He shared an incredibly close bond with his brother, Jacob McCollum. The two were not only brothers but best friends, and their relationship held a special place in Caleb’s life.
Caleb is survived by his mother, Mary Pierce; his father, Tony McCollum; his step-father, Craig Pierce; and his step-mother, Kim McCollum. He is also survived by his brother, Jacob McCollum; his sisters, Kaylee Jo Kackley, Chole Cuillier, and Hattie Flanery; and brother-in-law, Jeremy Flanery.
He also leaves behind his grandparents, David Cooper and Snezana McCollum, Mark and Jing McCollum, and Jim and Delores Pierce; aunts Tonya McCollum, Sarah McCollum, Nicole McCollum, Brandy Phelps, Karen Nunez, and Xiao McCollum; uncles Micah McCollum, Josh McCollum, and Paul Viefhous; cousins Gabriel and Jasmine Moore; niece Reagan Flanery; and nephew Reese Flanery. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pamala Cooper, and his aunt, Charlene King.
Caleb will be remembered for his humor, his love of computers and animals, his determination, and the deep love he had for his family. His family will hold close the many little things that made him who he was and the memories created through the years.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, at Phillips Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Carey Tricky officiating. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery following the service. Paul Viefhous, Josh McCollum, Tony McCollum, Micah McCollum, Craig Pierce, and David Cooper will serve as pallbearers.
