Chua Bing Xuan Obituary, KOTA TINGGI, Johor — Chua Bing Xuan, a 26-year-old Singaporean, has died following a three-vehicle crash along the Senai-Desaru Expressway in Kota Tinggi, Johor, on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026.
The fatal collision occurred at about 11:50 a.m. at Kilometer 66.6 of the expressway and involved a Perodua Myvi, a Proton Exora and a Mazda CX-30, according to police reports. Chua was travelling as a rear passenger in the Perodua Myvi at the time of the crash.
Police said the Perodua Myvi was driven by a 21-year-old Malaysian man and was carrying four passengers. The Proton Exora was occupied by two people, while the Mazda CX-30 was driven by a 30-year-old man. The crash left several people seriously injured.
Chua was among those seriously injured in the collision and was taken for medical treatment. He was later pronounced dead at Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor Bahru, according to authorities.
Reports said Chua was the youngest in his family and had completed his National Service in July. His brother, Bingtian, said Chua had been returning to Singapore with four friends after a trip to Desaru to mark the completion of his National Service.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under police investigation. Authorities reported that the crash involved the three vehicles on the expressway, with the occupants of the Myvi and Exora sustaining serious injuries.
Chua’s death has left his family mourning the loss of a beloved son.
