Danielle Smith Obituary, ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. — Danielle Smith, 28, of Dayton, Virginia, has died following injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Coopers Mountain Road in Rockingham County on the morning of Friday, August 28, 2026.
According to Virginia State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. Danielle was driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty northbound on Coopers Mountain Road when the vehicle crossed the center of the roadway and collided with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling southbound. The circumstances that led to the Jeep Liberty crossing the center line remain under investigation.
