Doug Larson Accident, ORTONVILLE, Minn. — Doug Larson, also known as “Dougo,” is recovering from serious injuries sustained in an ATV accident in Ortonville, Minnesota. Following the incident, Larson was transported for emergency medical treatment and remains under close observation in the Critical Care Unit at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
According to an update shared by his family through CaringBridge, Larson suffered multiple significant injuries in the accident. His injuries include skull fractures, a broken collarbone, several fractured ribs, and a fractured scapula, or shoulder blade.
Larson also sustained a lacerated spleen, which doctors are continuing to monitor closely. His medical team remains hopeful that the spleen will heal without requiring additional intervention as he continues receiving care.
Despite the seriousness of his injuries, updates from Larson’s loved ones have indicated signs of progress. Family members, including Chet and others, have remained close to him during his hospitalization and have reported improvements in his condition. His color improved, he was able to rest, and his pain was being effectively managed.
As part of his recovery, Larson is expected to keep his left arm in a sling for approximately six weeks and will have lifting restrictions. His family anticipates that his recovery will require considerable time, patience, and continued medical care.
