Madison Alford Obituary, LENA, Miss. — Madison Alford, 23, of Lena, Mississippi, has died following a two-boat collision on the Ross Barnett Reservoir early Sunday morning. Her death has left her family, friends, and loved ones mourning her sudden passing.

The fatal collision occurred at approximately 1:02 a.m. in an area north of Goshen Springs in Rankin County. Authorities said the Reservoir Police Department responded to reports of a crash involving two boats, with seven people involved in the incident.

Madison was confirmed deceased following the collision. Four other people were injured, while two others were reportedly uninjured. Bystanders in the area reportedly assisted those involved before emergency personnel arrived at the scene.

The emergency response involved multiple agencies, including the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, Rankin County Emergency Operations Center, Goshen Fire Department, Pafford Ambulance, and UMMC AirCare. The two boat operators were identified as Nelson Jimenez and Nathan Rhinewalt. According to officials, both are expected to face felony DUI charges related to boating under the influence. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
