Robert Strang Obituary: Atlanta, Georgia – Young Ole Miss Student Remembered for Kindness, Friendship and Joy

Robert Tudor Strang IV Obituary, ATLANTA, Ga. — Robert Tudor Strang IV, 20, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 21, 2026. His sudden passing has left a profound loss for his family, friends, classmates, and the many people who knew him throughout his young life.

Robert grew up in Atlanta and attended The Lovett School, Woodberry Forest School, and North Atlanta High School. He later continued his education at the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta, Alpha Chapter. He was deeply fond of his fraternity brothers and embraced the friendships and experiences that became part of his life at Ole Miss.

Those who knew Robert remembered him as a warm-hearted, social, and caring young man who had a natural ability to connect with people. He loved to laugh and especially enjoyed making others laugh. His friendships extended across the different schools, communities, and chapters of his life, reflecting his genuine interest in people and his ability to make those around him feel welcomed.

Robert was also known for his strong sense of fairness and his willingness to stand up for people who might not have had the loudest voice in the room. He had a particular fondness for the underdog and approached others with kindness, good humor, and an easygoing spirit. His family described him as someone who brought people together and made those around him feel valued.

He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. Robert is survived by his mother and father, Rebecca and Rob; his twin sister, Kate; his younger brother, Thomas; his maternal grandparents, Becky Warner and Wilbur (Virginia) Warner; his uncle and aunt, Andrew and McNeil Strang; cousins Anne Marshall and Harris Strang; his dogs, Dottie and Willow; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Tudor Strang Jr. and Virginia “Ginie” Hogan.

Robert also leaves behind countless friends who became an extension of his family. Those who loved him will remember the laughter, friendships, kindness, and adventures they shared with him. His family and friends have expressed the depth of their loss while holding onto the memories and stories that will continue to keep his presence alive in their lives.

In honor of Robert’s life, the family has established The Robert Tudor Strang IV Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will annually support an Ole Miss Phi Delta Theta student who could benefit from financial aid and who embodies the qualities associated with Robert, including loyal friendship, kindness, generosity, and a joyful love for life.
