Roger Hanson Obituary, BEDFORD, N.H. — Roger Hanson, a 67-year-old Nashua man and longtime paving crew member, has died after being fatally injured in a workplace accident on Maiden Lane Monday morning.
Hanson was working with several crew members on a residential driveway project when he was struck by a paving roller. Emergency responders treated him at the scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Hanson was a longtime employee of DLB, where he worked for more than 20 years. His family described him as a hardworking provider and a caring man who was always willing to help others.
In a statement shared by the family, Hanson was remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. His family said he worked hard to provide for his loved ones and the people he considered his adopted family.
Hanson leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Lori, as well as five children and five grandchildren. His sudden death has left his family, co-workers and friends mourning the loss of a man who played an important role in their lives.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help the family with funeral expenses and upcoming bills following Hanson’s death. The fundraising effort is intended to provide financial support as his loved ones navigate the loss.
The exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation. The Bedford Police Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are reviewing the incident.
