Shanteria Mosley Obituary: Smyrna, Georgia – Woman Dies After Fatal Shooting Before Dismembered Remains Were Discovered

Shanteria “KT” Mosley Obituary, SMYRNA, Ga. — Shanteria “KT” Mosley has died after suffering a fatal gunshot wound to the head before her dismembered remains were discovered in Smyrna on September 23, according to the Smyrna Police Department.

Mosley’s remains were discovered near the Park Valley Apartments along Valley Parkway after her family began searching for her when they were unable to reach her that afternoon. According to a murder warrant, investigators believe Mosley was killed sometime between approximately 9:45 a.m. and 8:28 p.m. that day.

New autopsy findings provided investigators with additional information about the circumstances surrounding Mosley’s death. The examination determined that she suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities have not publicly disclosed where the shooting occurred or provided additional details about what happened immediately before her death.

Mosley’s aunt, Michelle Weaver, said the family tracked Mosley’s cellphone to the Park Valley Apartments, where they located her vehicle and began searching the area. According to Weaver’s account, family members later encountered 18-year-old Kingston Lammar Bradley and saw him carrying an item described as a bag or cloth containing a container.

Investigators allege that Bradley dropped the container on a dirt walkway before fleeing toward a nearby apartment. Mosley’s family subsequently discovered what they believed to be Mosley’s remains inside the container. Police later searched Bradley’s apartment as part of the homicide investigation.

According to the murder warrant, investigators found blood evidence in multiple areas of Bradley’s apartment, along with a saw described as bloody and a strong odor of bleach. Police also reportedly found cleaning equipment, including a mop bucket containing water, a mop and a carpet cleaner. The warrant alleges that a large amount of blood inside the apartment was consistent with Mosley having been killed and dismembered there.

Two days after Mosley’s torso was discovered, detectives searched a vehicle and found garbage bags inside the trunk. Police said one of the bags appeared to contain the outline of a body part. The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office examined the bags and determined that they contained additional human remains investigators believe belonged to Mosley.

Bradley has been charged with malice murder and concealing the death of another person in connection with Mosley’s death. Investigators have not publicly disclosed a possible motive, explained what led Mosley to Bradley’s apartment, or identified where the shooting occurred. As the investigation continues, Shanteria “KT” Mosley is remembered through the circumstances surrounding her life and the loss felt by those who knew her.
