Stephanie Fasano Obituary, PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Stephanie Fasano has died suddenly following unexpected medical complications, according to tributes shared by friends and former coaches. Her passing has left those who knew her mourning a woman remembered for her kindness, friendship and ability to make others feel welcome.
BreAnne Law, who said she had been Stephanie’s best friend for more than 30 years, described her as someone who was deeply loved by the people around her. The two grew up together, walking to elementary school and later raising their children alongside one another.
Law remembered Stephanie as “everyone’s biggest cheerleader,” saying she had a special way of making people feel included and valued. She recalled decades of shared memories, laughter and milestones, describing their friendship as one that remained strong despite their different interests.
Stephanie was also remembered within the North Jersey field hockey community. Rebecca Hoeflinger-Lilienthal, who coached Stephanie for four years, said she had known her not only as a player but as someone who became part of her family. Stephanie also babysat Hoeflinger-Lilienthal’s children.
In her tribute, Hoeflinger-Lilienthal described Stephanie as one of the most beautiful souls she had the privilege of coaching. She remembered Stephanie’s smile, generous spirit and ability to find positivity in people and situations, expressing shock and heartbreak over her sudden death.
The tributes also reflected the lasting connections Stephanie formed through her friendships, family life and involvement in the field hockey community. Friends and former members of the Parsippany and North Jersey field hockey communities have shared their grief while remembering the positive impact she had on those around her.
A visitation for Stephanie Fasano is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home. Those attending have been asked to wear green, which was identified as Stephanie’s favorite color.
Stephanie’s sudden passing has left friends, former teammates, coaches and others grieving a life they described as full of kindness, laughter and love. She will be remembered by those who knew her for the relationships she built and the warmth she brought into the lives of others.
