Timothy Edwards Obituary, EAST BERNSTADT, Ky. — Timothy Edwards, 69, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, has died following injuries sustained in a head-on collision on East Fourth Street in London Thursday afternoon, September 24, 2026.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:42 p.m. as Edwards was traveling eastbound in a Chrysler. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 pulling a trailer crossed the centerline while attempting to avoid a rear-end collision involving a westbound Dodge pickup.
The Ford entered the eastbound lane and struck Edwards’ Chrysler head-on. Edwards was seriously injured in the collision and was airlifted to UK Medical Center in Lexington for treatment.
Despite efforts to treat his injuries, Edwards was pronounced deceased a short time later by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office. His passenger, 67-year-old Susan Edwards, also of East Bernstadt, suffered critical injuries and was flown to UK Medical Center for further treatment.
The Ford was driven by 31-year-old Travis Gaskin of London, who was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital London for possible injuries. The driver of the Dodge, 48-year-old Michael Williams of London, was not injured in the crash.
The London Police Department and Laurel County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. No additional details about the investigation have been provided in the information available.
