William Harmon Obituary: Jacksonville, Ohio – Beloved Animal Lover and Former Eagles Member Dies Peacefully at Home

William L. Harmon Obituary, JACKSONVILLE, Ohio — William L. Harmon, 59, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, August 24, 2026, with his beloved cat, Wyatt, by his side.

Born November 23, 1966, in Nelsonville, William was the son of the late William D. and Inez Stanley Harmon. He was remembered for his affection for animals and his enjoyment of bowling.

William was a former member of the Jacksonville Eagles. Through his interests and connections in the community, he became known to those around him for his love of animals and the simple activities he enjoyed.

He is survived by his sisters, Debbie (Dave Lemon) Buckman, Robin McWhorter, and Sharon (Bill) Bycofski, all of Jacksonville, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his siblings, Yvonne Muncy and Gary Muncy, and his nephews, Matthew Buckman and Adam Jago.

A graveside service for William L. Harmon is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, at Maplewood Cemetery in Glouster. Jon Hanning will officiate the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel. Messages of comfort may be shared with William’s family through the funeral home’s website. His memory will be cherished by his surviving sisters, nieces, nephews, and others who knew him.
