Myron “Max” Joseph Davis Obituary, FAIRMOUNT, Ind. — Myron Joseph “Max” Davis of Fairmount, Indiana, passed away on August 31, 2026. He was born in Muncie, Indiana, on December 4, 2001, and was the beloved son of Scott and Raeanne Davis.
Max graduated from Wes-Del High School in 2020 before earning his certification from Southeast Lineman Training Center in 2021. While attending lineman school, he received the Chad Diffy Memorial Scholarship, an honor awarded to a student who exemplifies qualities including selflessness, kindness, dedication to others and a passion for serving the community.
Those qualities became an important part of Max’s life and career. In 2023, he began working with AMPP Construction, where he found a career that brought together his passion for the construction industry and his desire to carry forward his father’s legacy of service. Max took particular pride in his work and in the opportunity to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Max’s father, Scott Davis, preceded him in death in 2011. Max is survived by his mother and bonus father, Raeanne and Brandon Ogle; his brothers, Jake (Solomon) of San Diego, California, and Jack Orebaugh of Nokomis, Illinois; and his sister, Emma (fiancé Josiah) of Nokomis, Illinois. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Tom and Vicki Davis, and maternal grandparents, Cathy Spears and John Lillie, all of Yorktown, Indiana, along with extended family members, friends, coworkers and loved ones.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Max was remembered for a spirited personality and an unmistakable sense of humor. He was described as ornery in the best possible way, often bringing laughter through practical jokes, witty remarks and a mischievous grin. A self-described daredevil at heart, he embraced adventure and was known for his fearless and energetic approach to life.
Max’s family and those who knew him will remember his kindness, dedication and loyalty, as well as the personality that made him unforgettable. His infectious smile, ornery giggle and piercing blue eyes left lasting memories with the people fortunate enough to have known him.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, September 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Yorktown Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Cemetery, where Max will be laid to rest beside his father.
Although Max’s life was cut short, his memory will continue through the family, friends, coworkers and community members whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his commitment to service, compassionate nature, adventurous spirit and the joy he brought to those around him.
