Noah Boaz Obituary, SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — Noah Boaz, 29, of Wichita, Kansas, has died following a two-vehicle crash near Derby Wednesday afternoon.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office identified Boaz as the man who was killed in the collision, which occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on 47th Street South near Rock Road.
According to preliminary information from investigators, Boaz was driving a Honda Accord westbound on 47th Street South when his vehicle crossed the center line and entered the path of an oncoming box truck. The circumstances that caused the Honda to cross into the opposite lane remain unknown.
The Honda collided with the eastbound box truck, resulting in fatal injuries to Boaz. Emergency crews responded to the crash scene, but Boaz was pronounced dead following the collision.
The driver of the box truck was also injured in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said those injuries were not life-threatening, and no additional injuries were immediately reported.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Investigators have not released information indicating whether speed, impairment, a medical emergency or another factor contributed to the collision.
As the investigation remains ongoing, authorities may release additional information as they work to determine what caused Boaz’s Honda Accord to cross into the opposite lane. Noah Boaz is remembered in connection with the fatal crash, and condolences go to those affected by his passing.
