David Doyle Obituary, SCOTCH PLAINS, N.J. — David Doyle, 55, a lifelong resident of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of community involvement, volunteer service, and dedication to those around him.
Doyle was remembered as a devoted husband, father, coach, and friend who made a lasting impact through his involvement in the local community. He was married to Ann Marie for 20 years and was the father of two sons, Tyler and Ryan.
Throughout his life in Scotch Plains, Doyle gave his time and energy to supporting young athletes. He volunteered as a coach for his sons’ PAL baseball, basketball, and football teams, helping guide and encourage children through sports and community activities.
Beyond his volunteer work, Doyle was also known through his years working in the hospitality industry. He spent time bartending at TGI Fridays, the Stirling Hotel, and Trap Rock Brewery, where he built connections with coworkers, customers, and members of the community.
Friends and community members remembered Doyle as someone who was known in many roles — as a coach, bartender, neighbor, coworker, and friend. Those who knew him have shared their appreciation for the positive influence he had on the lives of others.
Following his passing, a fundraising effort was organized to support Ann Marie, Tyler, and Ryan with household expenses, everyday needs, and family costs as they navigate life after Doyle’s unexpected death.
