Eli Koen Obituary, CLARKE COUNTY, Miss. — Eli Koen, 21, of Gilbertown, Alabama, has died following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Clarke County, Mississippi, according to local authorities.
The fatal crash occurred overnight in the 10,000 block of County Road 420, where the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department responded after receiving a report of a vehicle that had overturned.
Emergency crews, including Clarke County volunteer firefighters and members of the Causeyville Volunteer Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene to assist with an entrapment situation involving the vehicle.
Responders worked at the crash site, where Koen was found inside the overturned vehicle. Clarke County Coroner David Bonner arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver dead.
