Heather Lee Sytnik Obituary, TAMAQUA, Pa. — Heather Lee Sytnik, 49, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 25, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 13, 1977, in Lehighton, Heather was the daughter of Raymond W. Yocum and Rita M. (Lynn) Cavanaugh. She was adopted and raised by Rita Lynn and Victor Turner, who played an important role in her upbringing.
Heather was a 1995 graduate of Panther Valley High School. Throughout her working life, she served others as a Certified Nursing Assistant and also worked as a day care worker.
Outside of work, Heather enjoyed fishing and camping. She especially loved spending time at the beach, which was her favorite place to be. Her greatest joy, however, was being a mother and spending time with her children.
Heather is survived by her husband, Francis P. Sytnik Jr.; her son, Czar Founds; her daughter, Deana D. Founds; and her brother, Solomon Reed. She is also survived by many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., in Tamaqua.
