Jessica Lynn Powell Moore Obituary, WINCHESTER, Ky. — Jessica Lynn Powell Moore of Winchester, Kentucky, beloved wife of Chris Moore, died Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 37. She was born July 23, 1989, in Clark County, Kentucky, to Marvin Powell Jr. and Shari Snowden Powell.
Jessica was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. She later graduated from Spencerian College in Lexington, Kentucky, where she earned her qualification as a Medical Clinical Specialist.
Those who knew Jessica will remember her first and foremost as a loving wife, mother, daughter and granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Chris Moore; her son, Ryan Christopher Moore; and her daughter, Alyssa Jean Moore, all of Winchester.
She is also survived by her parents, Marvin Powell Jr. and Shari Snowden Powell of Winchester, as well as her paternal grandparents, Marvin Powell Sr. and Mary Jane King Powell, also of Winchester. Jessica was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Michael and Alma Jean Mullins Snowden, and one niece.
Jessica also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Her life was shared with family and loved ones in Winchester and the surrounding community, who will remember her and honor the memories they made with her.
Visitation for Jessica will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. at Calvary Christian Church, located at 15 Redwing Dr. in Winchester. Her funeral service will follow at noon at the church, with her brother-in-law, Pastor Steven Moore, officiating.
Burial will take place at Dawson-Miller Cemetery on Pine Ridge Road in Winchester. Pallbearers will include Chris Moore, Steven Moore, Levi May, Charles Miller Sr., Jimmy Miller, Charles Miller Jr., Jeff Mayo, Marcus Jones and Scott Cooper. Elders and deacons of The Forest Grove Christian Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family and friends of Jessica Lynn Powell Moore remain in the thoughts and prayers of those who knew and loved her as they honor her life and memory.
