Kevin Parker Burns Obituary, JUPITER, Fla. — Kevin Parker Burns, a longtime U.S. History and Civics teacher at Jupiter Middle School, died Friday, August 14, after being caught in a strong current while snorkeling off the Jupiter coast.
Burns dedicated more than two decades to education, building a lasting connection with students, colleagues, and others who knew him. He was remembered as a compassionate educator whose kindness, encouragement, and positive presence made a difference in the lives of those around him.

According to information from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Burns and a friend had paddleboarded approximately half a mile offshore to a reef near the 3000 block of South A1A. After securing their paddleboards, the two entered the water to snorkel.
