Jordan Shiquan Brown Obituary, FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Jordan Shiquan Brown, 20, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was killed in a shooting on Cliffdale Road on Thursday evening, October 1, 2026.
Fayetteville police said officers responded to the 8200 block of Cliffdale Road at approximately 6:46 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Brown suffering from injuries sustained in the incident.
Officers and emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but Brown was pronounced dead. His death has left family and friends mourning the loss of a young Fayetteville resident whose life ended at just 20 years old.
Police identified 18-year-old Ladarrius Blacknall in connection with the homicide. According to Fayetteville police, Blacknall was booked on Friday, October 2, and charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.
Investigators have not released additional details about what led to the shooting or disclosed whether Brown and Blacknall knew each other. Police previously said the shooting was not believed to be random.
The investigation remains active as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting and determine what happened before the incident. Additional information may be released as the investigation continues and the case proceeds through the court system.
Blacknall is accused of first-degree murder and is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Brown’s family and friends continue to mourn his death following the tragic loss.
