David Torres Obituary, FREETOWN, Mass. — David Torres, 52, of Fall River, Massachusetts, has died following a workplace accident at a recycling facility in Freetown, authorities said.
The Freetown Police Department responded to Excel Recycling at 17 Ridge Hill Road at approximately 11:58 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a workplace collision, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
When officers arrived at the facility, they found Torres on the ground near a front loader that had struck him. He had suffered serious injuries in the incident and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Torres’ death was later announced by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office as authorities continued investigating the circumstances surrounding the workplace accident. The incident occurred at the recycling facility while Torres was working as an employee.
