Knox Skelton Obituary: Gainesville, Georgia – 22-Month-Old Dies After Crash at Limestone Marketplace

Knox Skelton Obituary, GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Knox Skelton, a 22-month-old child, has died from injuries sustained in a crash at Limestone Marketplace in Gainesville, Georgia.

According to the Gainesville Police Department, Knox was being carried by his father, Samuel Skelton, an off-duty Gainesville firefighter, when they were struck by a vehicle that had left the roadway.

Police said the vehicle was being driven by 68-year-old Teresa Parker, who was attempting to park a 2024 Ford Edge in a handicap parking space. Authorities said the vehicle inadvertently accelerated over the curb and struck Samuel and Knox.

Knox was transported by air to a children’s hospital in Atlanta after the crash. Medical teams and first responders attempted to save the young child’s life, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Gainesville Police Department expressed its condolences to the Skelton family, their loved ones and the Gainesville Fire Department following Knox’s death. His passing has brought grief to those connected to the family and the local firefighting community.

The Gainesville Police Department’s investigation into the crash remains ongoing. Authorities have not provided additional details about the circumstances of the investigation.
