Laurie Perry Obituary, MILTON, Ontario — Laurie Perry has passed away early in the morning, leaving friends and those who knew her mourning her loss and remembering the lasting friendships she helped create.
Laurie and her husband, David Perry, were part of the Milton Hawthorne Village Phase 12 line-up in 2004. During that time, Laurie and David joined others waiting for the opportunity, spending five nights outside in tents or their cars along Trudeau Drive and Derry.
Laurie and David were remembered as the number one spot holders and line starters during the long wait. The experience eventually brought people together in a way that extended far beyond those five nights spent waiting outside.
As line captains were created, friendships developed among those who shared the experience. According to the tribute, many of those friendships have continued for more than two decades, lasting 22 years after the memorable 2004 line-up.
Laurie is being remembered by those who shared that chapter of their lives with her, including friends who have not forgotten the time spent together with Laurie and David. The memories created during that period remain an important part of the connections formed within the community.
News of Laurie’s passing brought a message of remembrance and condolences for her family. The tribute also addressed David, expressing that neither he nor Laurie had been forgotten over the years.
As Laurie is remembered by friends and members of the community, those who knew her are reflecting on the friendships and memories that have endured since 2004. Condolences are extended to Laurie’s family and loved ones during this difficult time, with her memory continuing to live on among those who knew her.
