Nevaeh Wynn Obituary, CONYERS, Ga. — Nevaeh Wynn, a 2-year-old girl from Conyers, Georgia, has died following an investigation by the Conyers Police Department that resulted in second-degree murder charges against her parents. Authorities said the child’s death was investigated for several months before arrests were made on September 24, 2026.
According to the Conyers Police Department, officers responded to a residence on May 3, 2026, after receiving a report of an unresponsive child. The toddler, identified by authorities as Nevaeh Wynn, was transported to Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Following Nevaeh’s death, detectives began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police said investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence as part of the ongoing investigation.
During the search, authorities reported recovering evidence that included used nitrous oxide canisters and an empty container of kratom capsules. Police have not publicly confirmed whether either substance was found in the child’s system or whether either substance contributed to her death.
The Conyers Police Department worked with the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office throughout the investigation. After toxicology testing and further examination, authorities said the medical examiner classified the manner of Nevaeh’s death as homicide.
Police identified the suspects as Rafael Pedron Wynn, 30, and Kerri Dysart, 28, both of Conyers. The two were arrested on September 24, 2026, and charged with second-degree murder in connection with their daughter’s death.
Authorities have not released Nevaeh Wynn’s official cause of death or additional details regarding the evidence that led to the charges. The allegations remain pending, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The Conyers Police Department said the investigation remains active as officials continue reviewing the available evidence.
