Patricia Thompson Obituary, PLYMOUTH, Maine — Patricia Thompson, 68, of Dixmont, Maine, has died following injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash that sent both vehicles into Plymouth Pond on Wednesday evening.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred along Route 7 when a vehicle carrying Thompson and Kendall Thompson, 67, was traveling eastbound. An oncoming pickup truck driven by Timothy Malo, 69, of Newport, crossed the center line and collided with their vehicle, investigators said.

The impact forced both vehicles off the roadway and into Plymouth Pond, prompting a major emergency response involving law enforcement, firefighters and medical personnel. All three people involved in the collision were rescued and transported to area hospitals for treatment.
