Phil O’Reilly Snr Obituary: Tullamore, Offaly – Harbour Street Man Dies Peacefully in His 93rd Year

Phil O’REILLY Snr Obituary, TULLAMORE, Offaly — Phil O’Reilly Snr of Harbour Street, Tullamore, County Offaly, has died peacefully on August 30, 2026, in his 93rd year. He passed away in the excellent care of the staff at Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore.

Phil’s death has been announced by his family, who are remembering him with love and gratitude following his passing. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Céline, and his family, Monica, Fiona, Phil Jnr and Frankie.

He is also survived by his sons-in-law, Tadgh and Steve, Phil’s partner Lynne, daughter-in-law Sinéad, and his much-adored grandchildren David, Mark, Ciara, Darren, Niamh, Ronan, Lauryn, Robyn, Eve and Priya. His cherished great-granddaughters, Mariah and Sybil, will also mourn his passing.

Phil is further remembered by his sisters Maire, Nuala and Nora, along with his nieces, nephews, cousins and his wide circle of friends. His sister Patsy is remembered as having predeceased him.

Phil’s family has expressed particular gratitude to the wonderful staff at Bethany House for the excellent care provided to him during his time there. They have also acknowledged the care he received from staff at Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore in his final days.

Funeral arrangements have been announced. Phil will repose at his Funeral Home on Harbour Street, Tullamore, on Wednesday, September 2, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. His removal will take place on Thursday morning, September 3, to the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore, where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow the Funeral Mass at Clonminch Cemetery, Tullamore. The Funeral Mass will also be available to view online for those unable to attend in person. Phil O’Reilly Snr will be remembered by his family, friends and wider community, and sincere condolences are extended to all who mourn his passing. May he rest in peace.
