Willard Colvin Obituary, CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Willard Colvin, 67, of Chillicothe, Ohio, has died following a fatal pedestrian crash Monday evening on Rozelle Creek Road in Ross County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at approximately 5:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Rozelle Creek Road in Huntington Township. Troopers were called to the area after receiving a report of a pedestrian being struck.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2021 Kia K5 was traveling southwest on Rozelle Creek Road when it struck Colvin, who was in the roadway. Colvin suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kia K5 was not injured in the crash. Authorities have not released additional information about the circumstances that led to the pedestrian being in the roadway or the events immediately preceding the collision.
Following the crash, Rozelle Creek Road was closed for more than two and a half hours while troopers investigated the scene. The roadway has since reopened to traffic.
