Douglas Charles Huntley Obituary: Okeechobee, Florida – Okeechobee Man Dies Following Tragic Motorcycle Accident

Douglas Charles Huntley Obituary, OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — Douglas Charles Huntley, 56, of Okeechobee, Florida, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, following a tragic motorcycle accident.

Doug was born on August 16, 1970, in Braddock, Pennsylvania, to Robert Huntley and the late Louise Huntley. He was remembered as a loving husband to Virginia Huntley and a devoted stepfather to Reese and Ryan Collins. He also helped raise Scotty Sheltra and Kaleth Underhill, whom he lovingly considered his sons.

Doug had a deep appreciation for life and enjoyed spending time doing the things that brought him happiness. He especially loved riding his motorcycle, hunting, and spending time shooting his guns. Above all, family remained at the heart of his life, and he cherished the time he shared with those closest to him.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Huntley. He is survived by his father, Robert Huntley; sister, Sharon Grillo; brothers, Tony Huntley (Chris) and Bobby Huntley (Debby); nieces Courtney Davis (Eric) and Susanna Hughes (Robert); and nephews Cameron Huntley (Caitlin), Seth Huntley (Caroline), Dillon Grillo (Faith), and T.J. Huntley.

He was also a proud great-uncle to Ryder Grillo, Madison Anaya, Sookie Huntley, and Dallas Davis, along with many beloved family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children.

Doug will be deeply missed by his wife Virginia, his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His life, the love he shared, and the memories he created will remain with those who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at More 2 Life Ministries, located at 551 NE 39th Blvd, Okeechobee, Florida 34972. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence may sign the register book at Okeechobee Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Buxton Okeechobee Funeral Home, 400 North Parrott Avenue, Okeechobee, Florida 34972. Doug Charles Huntley will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and missed every day.
