According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 9:56 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2026, to 7782 State Route 559 in Zanesfield after receiving a report that a 63-year-old woman was missing from the property.
Upon arriving at the property, deputies began searching the area for Saxton. During the search, authorities focused on a pond located on the property and discovered her in the water.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where Saxton was pronounced dead. Officials have not released details regarding how long she may have been in the pond or what led to her death.
