Rosemary Bolding Obituary, GRUNDY COUNTY, Ill. — Rosemary Bolding, a 30-year-old woman from Huntley, Illinois, was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in unincorporated Kinsman that sent her vehicle into a nearby residence, according to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal crash occurred shortly before 9 a.m. at the intersection of West Gardner Road and South Johnny Run Road. Authorities said Bolding was traveling northbound on South Johnny Run Road when her vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at West Gardner Road.

According to investigators, an eastbound vehicle entered the intersection and struck Bolding’s vehicle. The force of the collision sent her vehicle off the roadway and into the northeast yard of a nearby residence in the 6900 block of Gardner Road.

Bolding’s vehicle ultimately struck the corner of the home. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, and she was pronounced dead at approximately 9:40 a.m. Authorities identified her as the sole fatality in the crash.

The second vehicle involved in the collision also left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch. Its two occupants sustained minor injuries and were treated following the crash, according to authorities.

Despite Bolding’s vehicle crashing into the residence, no one inside the home was injured. The incident left authorities working at the scene as investigators examined the vehicles and roadway and documented the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the fatal crash. Officials have not released additional information about whether other factors contributed to the collision or provided further details about the circumstances leading up to Bolding’s death.
