Rachel Wangui Ndirangu Obituary, NAIROBI, Kenya — Rachel Wangui Ndirangu, a 26-year-old Kenyan woman advocate, has died after suffering severe injuries in a fall from the third floor of Suite Life Apartments along Dennis Pritt Road in Kilimani, Nairobi.
Rachel was attending a house party with friends at the apartment complex on the night of Saturday, July 4, 2026, when she fell through a third-floor window. The circumstances surrounding the fall remain under investigation.
Following the incident, Rachel suffered severe injuries after striking the ground. She was rushed to Nairobi Hospital while unconscious and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, where she remained under medical care as she fought for her life.
Rachel continued receiving treatment for nearly two months before she sadly passed away. Her death has brought renewed attention to the circumstances of the July incident and the investigation into what happened inside the apartment that night.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations took over the scene following the fall. Detectives recovered several alcohol bottles from the apartment and initially detained three people, including Rachel’s boyfriend, as investigators worked to determine whether the incident was an accident or whether foul play may have been involved.
Forensic investigations later established that Rachel fell through a window on the third floor rather than from an open balcony. Detectives also determined that several other people were in the room when the fall occurred but reportedly left the apartment before police arrived.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding Rachel’s death as they seek to establish exactly what happened on the night of July 4 and whether her fall was accidental or involved foul play. As the investigation continues, Rachel Wangui Ndirangu’s death remains the subject of an ongoing inquiry, and further official details may emerge.
