Thomas William “Tommy” Kidd Obituary, MILLFIELD, Ohio — Thomas William “Tommy” Kidd, 61, of Millfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at OhioHealth Hospice House in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on May 25, 1965, in Nelsonville, Ohio, to Tom and Nancy Kidd.
Tommy was known for his fun-loving spirit, mischievous grin and special ability to make those around him smile. His joyful personality and genuine kindness touched many lives, and he will be remembered for the happiness he brought to his family, friends and everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
One of Tommy’s simple joys was M&M candies, which he particularly loved. More than anything, however, Tommy valued people and the connections he formed with them. His laughter, playful nature and unique personality made him a treasured friend and family member.
Tommy is survived by his loving parents, Tom and Nancy Kidd of Millfield; his sister, Lori Kidd of Millfield; his brother, Scott (Jennifer) Kidd of Denver; and his two beloved nieces, Abigail and Madelyn Kidd. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends who were like family to him.
A meaningful part of Tommy’s life was the community of friends and caregivers who cared deeply for him. He leaves behind many dear friends at Harner House in Athens, Ohio, along with the many wonderful individuals who were part of the Echoing Meadows community. The friendships and relationships he formed there were an important part of his life.
Those who knew Tommy will remember his playful spirit and the happiness he shared so freely. The care, friendship and support he received from those around him were meaningful parts of his life, and he will be deeply missed by the many people who knew and cared for him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the 13 Event Center, 15913 St Rt 13, Millfield, OH 45761. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, tell stories and celebrate Tommy’s life and the special person he was to so many.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A message of comfort may be sent to the family through the funeral home’s website. Tommy’s laughter, kindness, playful spirit and love for M&M candies will remain cherished memories for those who knew him.
