Yorbelis Del Valle Gutierrez-Arenas Obituary, LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Yorbelis Del Valle Gutierrez-Arenas, 18, of Lakewood, Colorado, was found dead alongside a 16-year-old boy Tuesday morning, August 24, 2026, in a fatal shooting that authorities are investigating as a suspected murder-suicide.
Lakewood Police Department agents responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Benton Street at approximately 9:43 a.m. after receiving a 911 report of multiple people being shot. Officers arriving at the residence found the two young people inside.
Both Gutierrez-Arenas and the 16-year-old boy had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. Authorities said both were pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim has not been publicly identified because he was a juvenile.
