Bryan Torrez Obituary, ODESSA, Texas — Bryan Torrez has died following a serious traffic collision involving a red Dodge Ram 1500 and an 18-wheeler on South Highway 385 in Odessa on Thursday evening, October 1, 2026.
According to the Odessa Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 6:31 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Highway 385, near Baiza Drive and just north of Loop 338.
Police said Torrez was traveling northbound in a red Dodge Ram 1500 behind an 18-wheeler that was slowing down to make a left turn. Investigators determined that Torrez failed to control his speed and the pickup truck struck the rear of the commercial vehicle.
The collision left Torrez with serious injuries. Emergency personnel transported him to Medical Center Hospital for treatment following the crash.
Despite medical efforts, Torrez was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel. The Odessa Police Department said next of kin was notified following the fatal collision.
