Kathleen M. Henzler Obituary, HAMILTON COUNTY, N.Y. — Kathleen M. Henzler, 64, of Fishkill, New York, died Thursday evening after a head-on collision on State Route 28N in Hamilton County, according to New York State Police.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 6:41 p.m. Thursday when a 2011 yellow Ferrari 458 Italia traveling northbound crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane, investigators said.
The Ferrari, driven by 63-year-old Eric Zuccarelli of Lambertville, New Jersey, then collided head-on with a 2011 blue Hyundai. Henzler was riding as a passenger in the Hyundai, which was driven by 64-year-old David W. Henzler of Fishkill. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Zuccarelli was traveling with 53-year-old Jin H. Song, also of Lambertville. Following the collision, multiple fire and emergency medical crews from Long Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, Indian Lake and Raquette Lake responded to the scene.
Zuccarelli, Song and David Henzler were transported to Glens Falls Hospital for medical treatment. Zuccarelli and David Henzler were later transferred to Albany Medical Center, where both were reported to be in stable condition. Song remained at Glens Falls Hospital and was also reported to be in stable condition.
New York State Police received assistance from local fire and rescue agencies, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as emergency crews worked at the crash scene.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation by New York State Police. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has video footage of the vehicles involved to contact investigators at 518-897-2000.
