Lynn Madison Obituary, ILLINOIS — Lynn Madison, a respected leader, educator and longtime member of the real estate profession, has passed away, leaving colleagues, friends and members of the industry mourning her sudden loss.
Madison was widely remembered for her contributions to real estate education and professional development. Colleagues described her as a professional leader who dedicated years to helping REALTORS® improve their knowledge, skills and understanding of the industry.
Throughout her career, Madison held important leadership and volunteer roles within the real estate community. She served as a past president of Mainstreet, was recognized as REALTOR® of the Year and served as an NAR Director. She was also involved in real estate associations at local, state and national levels.
Her commitment to education was another significant part of her professional legacy. Madison wrote curriculum for numerous real estate courses and became a sought-after educator and speaker. Colleagues remembered her for sharing her knowledge openly and encouraging other professionals to continue learning and developing in their careers.
Madison was also recognized for her involvement in advocacy and professionalism. According to tributes shared by colleagues, she became an RPAC Hall of Fame member and played a role in efforts to strengthen professionalism within the real estate industry.

One longtime colleague remembered Madison’s Blackhawks-themed installation as Mainstreet president, including a symbolic passing of a hockey stick instead of the traditional gavel.
